Sleepless

SLEEPLESS
by Alan de Luzuriaga
(7/15/1993)

Eyes blinking
Lights glimmering in the
Wee hours of consciousness

Wind
Blowing through the room
In a force so shattering

Papers, laid across the floor
With printed names of friends
So long ago
And now so remembered and heard

We are here
In frames of glass
With thoughts
Unknown and unsaid
With stares of uncertainty
Into those who look
Look and see

Square Images
And Square memories
Waiting to be embraced
For Eternity
That has yet to be
